The Bubble

The Bubble is a unit on Guerny Mews in Camborne Town Centre. It is a safe and warm welcoming place that serves the street community of Camborne. It has been opened since 24th July 2024 and serves free hot food and drinks 4 afternoons each week. The individuals that come enjoy the company and will often play games such as uno or board games.

The mission of the Bubble is to offer a drop in centre for the street community and to bring them  hope and love. It’s primary  purpose is to show the love of God in a practical way and to introduce  them to the reality of the freedom that  Jesus  offers.

One of the guys who comes to the Bubble said,” I like coming here because you don’t treat us like trash”.

Introducing Faith Russell

Faith is the one who had the vision for “The Bubble”. Faith lives in Helston but travels to Camborne most days of the week because of her love for people. Faith is a retired science teacher and deputy head.

Faith says that the name, The Bubble, came from her own dangerous experience whilst on holiday abroad. She felt that God was protecting her as if she was in a bubble. She knows what it is to experience God’s peace and wants the street community to experience this as well. Faith is an unpaid volunteer  who supports The Bubble out of her own finances.
